I tried to navigate into the outbound immigration hall (where they have a strict no photography policy - i have no idea why) and, not surprisingly, google hasn't captured that bit

Qatar flight QR30, from Doha to Melbourne, was diverted to Adelaide this evening. It arrived at 2048 and is expected to depart at 2200.

Does anybody know if they are still seeking retail and hospitality tenancies for the plaza?
My question is, where the hell will they put them? Also what's happening to the illumination of the mesh metal feature in the plaza?

As an Airport Ambassador, there are going to be small outlets in the plaza with hopefully a few by the end of the year, 1 will include a 7/11 style convenient store. The plaza will also play host to more exhibitions and community activities over time.

Awesome to see the 777s back in Adelaide. A few years ago we were dominated by them, and now we are dominated by a330s.Stefan P wrote:Evening all,

It might set AirAsia back a bit on their proposed flights here.

I am so glad that the Asian airlines have stepped in when our national carrier brushed us off.

Great news!
ADELAIDE | Kuala Lumpur based low-cost carrier AirAsia X is set to announce flights out of Adelaide will start in October.
The long-haul offshoot of AirAsia has been considering a four-times-weekly operation to Adelaide.
The airline hinted on its Facebook page last week that an announcement was imminent.
It has scheduled a media conference for this afternoon.
Premier Jay Weatherill, Tourism Minister Leon Bignell and AirAsia X CEO Azran Osman-Rani will announce details of the new services.
AA’s Kuala Lumpur service currently flies to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and the Gold Coast.
AirAsia X is the long-haul operation of the AirAsia, Asia’s largest low-cost carrier.
The franchise keeps costs down by using a common ticketing system, aircraft livery, employee uniforms, and management style.
Lat May, the company tested the investment markets to gauge interest for an initial public offering in Malaysia worth up to $300 million.
Reuters reported that the airline planned to use 44 per cent of the proceeds to repay bank loans, with another 22 per cent set for capital expenditures.
