So the substitute buses stop at the back of the train station on Festival Drive? Have they at least put a shelter there?

Nope, and from what I understand they can only get one in and out of there at a time so there's a considerable bottle neck at the end.AtD wrote:So the substitute buses stop at the back of the train station on Festival Drive? Have they at least put a shelter there?
The come from the west (off of Montefiore Road) mess about in that area with all the painted mediums you linked to on NearMap, then drop off near the Railway Station's back doors and bugger off back to the west. That's why only one at a time is allowed in.AtD wrote:So how do the buses turn around in this?

But considering how long this will be (?) to do the whole line...AtD wrote:Barriers and validators? That's rather fancy for a temporary service.
There is room for 2 Articulated buses to load and unload at this spot, and has worked well all week.As there is between 5/6 buses at a time (in peak hours)loading/unloading with Supervision from Torrens Transit coordinators the operation has run very smoothly.monotonehell wrote:Nope, and from what I understand they can only get one in and out of there at a time so there's a considerable bottle neck at the end.AtD wrote:So the substitute buses stop at the back of the train station on Festival Drive? And when they eventually do all the other lines as well.monotonehell wrote:But considering how long this will be (?) to do the whole line...AtD wrote:Barriers and validators? That's rather fancy for a temporary service.
That's the impression I get - throwing whatever is necessary to complete it within the four months.bm7500 wrote:They certainly aren't mucking around are they!
On Wednesday, I validated at the barrier & boarded through the rear door with no need to validate again on the bus. The validators are some distance fromAtD wrote:I'm still intrigued about the bus stop at the back of Adelaide station. Barriers and validators? So does this mean you validate before you get on the bus? Can you get on using the rear doors then? Sounds like a great time saver.
Photos would be appreciated.
