Bus station nearing completion, from today:

Is it just me, or does the bus station look like another set of bland apartments? What's up with all those balconies above?

I find it funny that apartments apart of this development are cheaper than ones in port adelaide!!!

From yesterday, not long now till this dump is demolished!

Is the metal shell still going to have the word BUS emblazoned across it?

Yeah well for that part of the street near the bus station, not sure about the rest of the street. I did notice that they have put in new lights in the western section of Flinders Street now, the old ones should come out soon, finally. Looks a lot better down that way now.

Good to hear - Hopefully Pirie St, Grenfell St and the western end of Waymouth St will get new lights next

Some european trees along these streets would improve the street scape especially along Currie Street.

The new glass frontage on Grote Street looks amazing. I also can't wait for the towers. This will be great for the area IMO.

It would look an absolute treat with a tram running down the middle and some big shade trees on the side of the street.

The bus station is amazing. Walking around it today there are a lot of good details even down to the signage. Now that the fences are gone the public space has been revealed and looks decent. Good amount of seating too. Inside it looks a lot like an airport with the seating etc. Pics from today:

Notice the bus/freight entry sign which even looks good when walking along that side of the street. One was going up for the car park too.

Once the other 3 towers go up where the current bus station is and the other 2 on the Balfours site this area is going to be totally transformed and utilised well with the markets etc near-by.
