I'm tempted to change this to U/C. Piling is well underway.

Also, it looks like Brookfield Multiplex are the construction partners too. Their signage is up everywhere. So I'd say we could expect one of their black and white Favco 380Ds up soon.
Walking on over....

Thats odd because I haven't seen any sort of sales sites and it's not student apartments but good obviously, just unusual.

Great news. They were about to commence piling when I took that photo a few weeks ago.

From memory this project had a large affordable housing component? They may have partnered up with the State/Federal governments to secure funds for that part of the development? Plus the applicant is Jia Fu Property Development. Chinese developers don't seem concerned with pre-sales. Or a lot of Chinese investors could have already purchased apartments off-plan without this one even being advertised yet.

Makes sense. I think we are on the cusp of our CBD's biggest ever boom.

Agreed Ben.

It's hard to comprehend just how much construction is occuring and is about to occur. Especially with all of the government projects eg the Research Facility, Hospital, Oval, Riverbank etc, plus UniSA, Adelaide Uni as well.

The real standout though is the entry of Chinese developers into our market over the last few months. It's happening throughout Australia but they seem to be targeting Adelaide in particular. I would guess it's because we represent good value i.e. CBD sites at reasonable prices as well as solid growth prospects with mining etc.

Exciting times for construction nuts :D

Construction is progressing well on this site. It gets very busy down Rowlands Place with lots of restrictions now as you would expect.

Cheers, sure is

Lots of activity happening in that part of town at the moment, shame it includes two ugly multi-level carparks

They're certainly not wasting their time with this one.

Looks like the design has changed..

I'm quite impressed by the design.

it appears to be 15 levels now and has a height of 49M
