I was under the impression that most of it was to be office space, but i'll be sure to ask them if they contact me.

According to Savills website there are 9 levels of office space (http://commercialpropertysearch.savills ... iam-Street)

If I remember correctly, there was mentioning of "serviced housing for over 55s' or so in one of the Advertiser pieces, maybe that's the missing 10 levels ?

Application officially lodged. This could be as high as 125 with office floors aswell, probably more likely around 110m. Will find out in the next couple of weeks.

Still confident this WILL eventuate. My current favorite of all proposals. KWS Sth should be developing an active population presence of it's own soon with a threshold not too far away that will attract many 'ancillary' street level people activities. (The resi pop. must be getting high there).

BTW - excellent to read that KWS Sth tram stop is getting improved.

I would think car parking, retail and office accommodation.
Nine levels of Office accommodation over two towers.
I would assume this means 18 levels of office accommodation which is very ambitious given the current economic predicament.

There's a rooftop bar / restaurant planned which sounds good.

Greek people always want things to be bigger and better.

In my opinion this project is too big for Adelaide and I don't think they have the right mix. If I was a developer I would go for a
an apartment building rather then mixed use with offices and apartments.

What's the usual floor height for Car Parking? It'd surely be smaller than resi. Is there really a standard number we can estimate, ala 3m for resi 4m for commercial?

2.8m floor to floor is usually around the mark.

Min head height in a carpark is 2.2m IIRC.

A showroom for the Echelon Apartments is being built at the site owned by Karidis next to the Crown and Sceptre Hotel, just up from the subject site.

I believe this hasnt been posted prior, but if it has my apologies!

Found a photo of a model for this one on realcommercial. Quite like the look of it, simple, timeless concept. Also having a look at this, there appears to be some differences between both towers tops. Not sure if that's something to do with the angle of the photo or some form of articulation.

I love architecture models of this calibre.

Let's hope we see this, and the other 4 big ones proposed go up. Adelaide could look very different in 5 years.

Kind of looks like a casino from the 80's

I'm just not sure about this one. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of this development - its height, its quality (hopefully). It's exactly what the area needs. The podium looks great too. However, I just can't love those two towers. Not even sure why - the shape's OK, I like the glass. I think it's something to do with the glass:balcony ratio or something. Something just doesn't sit quite right visually with me.

Still, looking forward to seeing it in the flesh - hopefully I'll come to love it in time.
