Are we missing a proposal or does Ben know something we don't?
Even with just what we have currently proposed, our skyline is about to take a big change. I can't wait to be there to see it.
Ben always knows something you don't.

Even at this height, it may not be the tallest proposal in development either...

I truely hope it is on par at least with Realm in its design and it really blows Westpac out of the water. A modern sleek glass like finish would look and contrast so well against the concrete browns that dominate the city.
Architecture is subjective, but based on your comments you will be very pleased with the design. I am personally a big fan of the designs for Realm, Adelaidean and 207 Pulteney.
Details of the building use will be released when the Client is ready, but 60 storeys over 195m height should be enough of an indication.
Like all of you, I'm looking forward to seeing it go in for planning. Amongst other things, it will generate the discussion we need to have about the future of our city. Increased CBD density is important for the vibrancy of our city, but also to reduce urban sprawl and improve sustainability and quality of life. This building will be a long overdue beacon of progress for Adelaide. Getting it built is more important than just the project itself. Key people in our city understand this.

And this is great news that will hopefully pave the way for future projects.

Hopefully it’s a yellowish colour to complement the big brown turd. This will be the tallest ie a number 1, Westpac would be number 2.
Correction. Westpac will be the fourth tallest.
1. 207 Pulteney Street
2. Adelaidean
3. Realm
4. Westpac
True, thanks for the correction.

I've been refraining from commenting due to the response I received earlier in the thread. It should be obvious to a sensible person why a professional can't divulge project images or specific details prior to planning submission, especially for a project of this scale.
Ignore those responses, your updates are very much appreciated on here. Keep them coming
Don't get too excited Crawf.
This hasn't even been proposed yet, let alone been released as a vision.
It's just some person who you don't know anything about, you don't know who he is/where he works/what he is, making a claim. Remember the last time someone did that, Shuz, pretending there was a new tallest being proposed.

Architecture might be subjective.
But we can get consensus on what is crap and what is not.

Well... no. That's what subjective means. You might get an extreme case where a lot of people agree. But the architect might still love it.

That was a very long time ago. I remember the shear excitement over the Spire and 115KWS proposals, fast forward to 2017 and they are both incredibly underwhelming compared to what's being built. Not to mention over the last 5 years, height restrictions have been lifted and the CBD has undergone a major overhaul which is sparking a development boom.
Therefore it's definitely quite realistic at what CDJ is mentioning. Even if it isn't true, it's inevitable we will soon see a 200m proposal in the city. And I believe the Flinders/Franklin Street precinct is going to be that location.

Quite exciting to read about from over here in Sydney. We're moving our family back to Adelaide next year so looking fwd to seeing the CBD taking off a lil.
A quick side note, some people back there may not realise too that the submarine project is catching investor attention over here. With general housing obviously much more affordable in Adelaide don't be surprised if there is more competition from interstate investors...there is more optimism about the economy picking up in the future

Which one is the spire? I can't think of any building in Adelaide which have spires.

Not to take this too far off-topic, but Spire was an approximately 100m proposal in Adelaide last decade that never got up, but was to be located on Bentham Street. There's a video of it on YouTube:
