This parcel of land has not been parklands since the 1840s.

It seems that the Aboriginal Culture Gallery is dead, but to suggest returning the land to parklands, whilst affordable would be such an insipid and short-sighted waste of prime North Terrace frontage.

No one would ever visit Adelaide to see a larger Botanic Garden.
The Rann government promised this would be returned to parklands when the hospital was proposed.

With no Indigiineous Centre then what the hell is going here??? It will get to another election, Malaka will be out and then we will have his ego project shelved for another one. This is TIRESOME Adelaide. You really lack vision. FFS
Bit harsh calling it Malaka's ego project when it was Marshall/Libs who came up with it.

If this project is well and truly dead, I wonder if any thought has gone into returning part of the land to the Botanic Gardens?
You miss understand I know this isn’t his project but the next will be

I believe it was only the land where the East Wing building stood that they were talking about returning to the Botanic Garden, not the entire site. This was built in the 1960s.

They aren't just for tourists and we are trying to boost CBD population so additional manicured gardens close wouldn't be a bad thing

Don't get me wrong, i don't think it will happen and I'm not a greeny, but the money could be spent of the many other underdeveloped parcels of land.

I'd love to see Gawler Chambers puchased and bought back to life.

Much more boring but at least it seems like it will actually get built now, after hearing nothing for ages.

I don’t hate the new design of the building, in fact, I probably prefer it more. What’s more concerning is that it goes against the original ethos of the proposed centre, for start ups. Furthermore, not sure what’s now proposed for the site of the originally mooted Hospitality and Tourism School but I wouldn’t want to see this site now cluttered up with buildings that could otherwise be built elsewhere, a portion of this site should be returned to open space.

Also, interesting how the newly provided renders very carefully cut out the site of the proposed Tarrkarri… Hedge your bets now on how imminent the announcement of the cancellation of that project is with its replacement being a contemporary art gallery headed by AGSA.

The Lot 14 LinkedIn posted a picture of the new renders which includes Tarrakari.
