Im aware that there is parking within the new facility, but that won't cater for both staff and visitors The only land I can think of for use of a car-parking facility would be the triangle block that sits between the train-tracks. They'd require a series of bridges over the tracks for access, but it'd be a great use for otherwise useless land.
You do realise there's three levels of underground carparking with around 1800 spaces?

I realised there was car-parking underneath but not to that extent. Though, 1,800 parks is still hardly enough when you factor in parking for visitors, doctors, nurses, researchers, cleaners, administration, hospitality. Sure, some take PT but not nearly enough.

The Newmarket Street car park is currently being expanded (extra levels), probably anticipating demand.

How much parking is currently available at the old RAH? Surrounding it?
How about the WCH? Everytime I've been there in recent years I've parked in surrouding streets. Bit of a short walk, big deal. You'll live, and if you feel you aren't going to make it...well you're walking into a hospital..
I'd guess there will be more parking at the new RAH and surrounding it.
There is the carpark being expanded as mentioned above, then there is the convention center/riverbank car park. A short walk as well, if not a short tram ride.
And there's a few other car parks along North Tce nearby that are within walking distance to the tram.

there's a dedicated 8 (or 9) level car park behind the current RAH

Does anyone else foresee the old RAH site being left abandoned and derelict for years to come?

Looks awesome, still not sold on the port colours though. Maybe it could have those light panels like that carpark at the end of Rundle mall... might keep the patients up at night though

Mammoth building. Given the ample surface, it's a shame that it hasn't been designed for green (planted) roofing.
