According to ACC approvals it's going to be a four level apartment block (with 15 apartments). Slightly underwhelming but in such a low-rise, low density area it's probably not a bad outcome.EBG wrote:Does anyone have any information about this project 130 Gilles St Fromeprox. Does anyone know if 'The Storeys' on surflen has died? No news on that development for some time now.
Re: News & Discussion: Low/Mid-Rise CBD Development
Variations to the existing proposal were recently approved by the DAC, hence I think any delays to construction relate to having to wait to have these variations approved.Dvious wrote:Does anyone know if 'The Storeys' on surflen has died? No news on that development for some time now.

Unsure if this has been posted before, but an application has been lodged to add an additional 5 levels to the existing carpark at 22-26 Newmarket Street, comprising 3 levels of carparks and 2 of offices has been lodged with the ACC.

Piling has started on a 5 story apartment building at 22 Norman St (between Wright St and Sturt St). This is next to 20 Norman St 6 story development that was completed in about July, I will try for a picture tomorrow.

Renewal SA are developing a site on Carrington Street near Hurtle Square into an affordable housing project.
The bid by JPE in combination with COX architects and Hindmarsh was chosen as the preferred scheme.

Looks great! A little low-scale, but that's fine given the surrounding area.

Nice, some good touches with the sliding louvers.
The most important thing is this will replace some pretty horrid 2-3 level housing trust buildings. It also looks like it will open up that little pocket park some more, which will also be a plus for the Frome St bikeway which continues through that park.
