Green box on the plan on the opposite side of the carpark yo the main centre is to be a Dan Murphys too. Have to say it looks pretty good, hopefully turns out that way.

Those renders look pretty good.
I absolutely love the entrance brickwork

I have noticed a contradiction in the ways in which the entrance to Woolworths is presented.
In the floorplan, it's a mall entry.
In one of the renders, it's an external entry direct to the carpark, with a facade that is typical of many recent standalone Woolworths stores.
Unless there will be two entrances (which I very much doubt as it's not something supermarkets want these days for staffing and security reasons) then they cannot both be right.
I wonder which it is.

If you look more carefully at that render you'll see it's a mall entry despite having a Woolworths sign above it.

It still doesn't look like an entrance to the mall from the render, but it probably is I suppose and that would explain the apparent contradiction I noticed. Thanks for making it a bit clearer for me.

What happened to the Dan Murphy's it doesn't seem to be in the plans? - unless it's that building on the west side of the carpark

No offense, but what's totally awesome about it?
To me it looks like a run of the mill small shopping centre and nothing more.

It looks like a copy of the Mount Gambier Marketplace -
http://www.mountgambiermarketplace.com.au - the mall has identical interiors.

I can't really tell much from that photo, but I have googled it and seen a few other images and yes, it does look very similar.
There goes my theory that they at least tried to consider the history of the site a bit my calling it "Marketplace".
On the other hand though, there are some parts where they've actually used brickwork, and that does make a bit of reference to the history of it. I'm afraid I can't help but think that was only done to help them get planning permission, not because they actually care about the history of the site.
At the end of the day, it's just going to be a small mall. Nothing more.

Woolworths shopping centres:

Weirdly they don't own (show) the almost identical Mt Gambier marketplace.

Good to see.
The markets were a depressing waste of space in a prime location.. Probably could of done something more exiting with the site but this will do, anything would of done the job.

I'm not having a go at you serca (why would I), but I have to say I find the "that will do" attitude of many Adelaide people very disappointing. I don't think it will do unless it's the very best possible outcome. Otherwise, it's just not good enough as far as I'm concerned.
Why should we settle for "that will do" just because it's Adelaide? Let's aim high!

by how good is he
I am disappointed the BBQ galore site looks like it's staying untouched with such a wide frontage to South Rd it diminishes the value to the new complex....hopefully part of the highways dept South road widening plans?
