I like how this dome/warehouse is looking, certainly a massive improvement. Should really change the area once the tram line is opened, then we just have to wait for the Clipsal site TOD to start then.

Ha.... And you believe everything this government says??? I'll believe it when I see it. But to stay on topic, I for one look forward to seeing the upgrade of the Ent. Centre complete. It was starting to look very dated, sad and embarrassing especially when considering we are trying to entice some of the worlds best entertainers/singers to Adelaide.

Steelwork is being added to the "warehouse" for walkways, offices (?) and to integrate it with the Dome:

The Dome has blue "shadecloth", apparently a temporary safety measure while permanent skin is installed:
The steelwork on the "warehouse" takes shape:

I will prefer it with the ETFE plastic skin - this render shows better how the dome will look with the skin, & how
the finished upgrade should appear with the new venue, signage etc...

will that large red star really be positioned at the entrance to the dome?

The AEC logo (star) has been in all of the renders thus far, so i would assume that it will become a fixture of the new entrance.
Its interesting to note that the render and the map in the link above clearly shows that the plaza area in front of the 'warehouse' has been deleted. I'm not sure if this means that the warehouse was made bigger or that additional space was taken up by catering and backstage areas.

Drove past early today. The "Warehouse" is looking good. It's bulk is being addressed by the inclusion of a frame with glass panels running the breadth of the front wall (see link on last 3 posts to get an idea) and the warehouse walls have been painted a dark colour which helps it fade into the background. Yes - i like...

From last week - frames to support ETFE roof panels being added to the Dome:
Steelwork mentioned by Wayno along the "warehouse":

Remember Shuz - it will mostly been seen at night all light up like an Exmass Tree. Just like Vegas - beautiful at night, ugly by daylight.
