What are the sales figures at?

That blank western wall is going to be very prominent.

Oh dear... No wonder they've been hiding the western wall...

That blank wall is :toilet:. The law courts will blanket it alittle, pretty poor that they've left it blank though, taking the easy/cheap way out on this one. However this one is still an exciting development that appears to be attracting alot of interest.

I live just around the corner and walk past the site almost every day, I've seen a lot of these types of functions being held in the showroom... If that's anything to go by there seems to be a lot of interest in the site.

The model of the building demonstrates how nice itwill look but that western wall is a problem... I'm not sure if it's for security reasons (law courts next-door) or simply because of the western sun but even a few extra rows of windows along that side would make a massive difference... At this point it's going to look as awful as the western wall on City Central 2 (ANZ Building). That's the problem with buildings being done on the cheap, developers aren't willing to fork out $$ for the correct windows which would allow that wall to be more than a concrete slab.

While we would all like windows on all 4 sides this a rather narrow site and the centre section of the blank western wall contains the lift shaft. Before condemning the project one needs to see the complete set of floor plans.

We're free to rubbish the design to Kingdrom Come. It's a concrete wall fronting a prominent civic building and major square. That lift core is set back from the boudary, and it abuts a laneway. More effort could be put in, simple as that.

Overall I'm supportive of the development - there's more to like than not. But it's bordering on offensive when an agent spins some yarn about a cheap and nasty concrete wall actually being a 5 star energy saver. I accept the bs, I don't believe it though.

Does anyone know how much it costs to install some type of artwork/decoration on thise walls (like the stuff on the ART building). Or would that be more of a red tape / permission problem ?

Beat me to it! I managed to catch a word with the guy putting up the signage and he said to expect site works late July/early August. Fingers crossed!

I'd rather see a green wall to be honest... Would certainly add something different to our sky-line...

If construction was starting soon then wouldn't they start site works rather then put up a sign saying construction commencing soon ?

If they are going to have a wall they should be required to have some kind of massive mural or other original design feature that mitigates the blot on the landscape.
