Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Re: Developments at glenelg
Note the Ferris wheel at the beachouse still isn't operational - its been ages now.
Re: Developments at glenelg
I know that this is a bit off track but there was 12,000 people at the bay oval today for Glenelg Vs Sturt !!!
Just like the old days of suburban footy back in the 1980's.
I wonder if it's a record........ It would have to be the biggest sanfl crowd at a home and away game for
quite some time.
I remember I went to Norwood oval in 1996 and saw Norwood vs Port in front of 16,000. There was a big
crowd because it was the last time the two teams were playing before the introduction of the Power. I think
todays crowd would have been the biggest since that day.

Glenelg Revolving Restaurant
The glenelg revolving restuarant has had an internal make-over. Not sure exactly when it was done, but it appears to be quite sexy, and they even have "high tea" on sunday afternoons. I'm planning to take my mum there for a treat sometme soon...
Also renamed to "Top of the World" (previously known as "Rock Lobster Revolving Restaurant")

Just wish the outside of the building received a make-over as well!

Re: Glenelg Revolving Restaurant
its been top of the world for a while, i remember looking it last year when i was at tafe, but it does look great, doesnt it?
Re: Glenelg Revolving Restaurant
Went there for a meal a couple of years ago. It was called Top of the World then. The food, service and view are all brilliant. The fashion of the patrons however was less so. I felt like I was on the set of The Wedding Singer.

This turnip also pulled all the slow threads out the other night saying there had been no news or that the development was as good as dead. I'd say their membership to this site is as good as dead.

Re: Approved - Baywaters (Glenelg) 5 levels - $45 million
The first stage (or stages) of this are complete, with Bay Waters in about 2/3 of the new building, and Glenelg Pacific Apartments in
the remaining 1/3 (apparently serviced short term accommodation). The two storey stone building at the Jetty Road end of the site is
currently being restored.
