Looks like a test rig that pops up on some sites that people on here always blow their load thinking it's a crane base.

No worries! Looks like you're going to have a core to look down on soon too.

That is a test pile right next the 3 men and the test rig in the picture above.

Yeah, it was used during the week. It was a surprize to feel the building shake so much.

There are also large pile-ons under the large piles of dirt.
Also the boys on the cherry picker were sanding the paint off the old facade. One has a sandwich in his hand. I couldn't tell what kind of sandwich though.

A WALL has come crashing down in the Adelaide CBD after an apparent mishap on a construction site.
The wall – part of a demolition job linked to the $250 million GPO redevelopment on Waymouth St – appeared to be supposed to fall, however, witnesses said it did not appear to go as planned.
A huge dust cloud engulfed the nearby laneway after an excavator removed a steel beam that had been propping up the wall.
The adjacent Post Office Place was cordoned off shortly afterwards.
It then appeared to fall the wrong way, damaging a length of temporary fencing and sending some stray bricks flying into a laneway.
No one appeared to be in danger.
The demolition job will make way for a major redevelopment of the Adelaide General Post Office, which will also see a new 20-storey tower rise above the site.

Well as long as no one was injured and it hasn't slowed down the project.

I took this phone pic yesterday lunch time on my way past before the incident.

I thought I saw crane base this morning. Anyone know what type of crane will be going up on this site?

The site could be big enough for two cranes so i guess it depends on what type they go with.
