This development should really look good and will add much to the vibrancy and appeal of North Adelaide.

Cranes are very prominent from Adelaide Oval.

A photo like that reminds you just how damn flat the Adelaide Plains really are.

it's an airport FFS... would you rather it be on the side of a hill?prometheus2704 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 9:45 pmA photo like that reminds you just how damn flat the Adelaide Plains really are.
the only reason you can see 88 O'Connell Street from there so prominently is because of the elevation of the geography

You don't say! I never would have guessed that an airport would be flat if you hadn't enlightened me in such a polite manner.abc wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 11:27 pmit's an airport FFS... would you rather it be on the side of a hill?prometheus2704 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 9:45 pmA photo like that reminds you just how damn flat the Adelaide Plains really are.

The elevation data in Google Earth is interesting. The photo vantage point at the Airport viewpoint is at ~3 m elevation. The main runway is 3 m at west end and 6 m east end. O'Connell St is at 48 m, North Tce/KW St is at 42m and Victoria Sq is 45 m. KWm at Adelaide Oval is 27 m.prometheus2704 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:06 amYou don't say!
