Howdy folks. I took some photos when I was walking through North Adelaide last week. (19/9/2024)

These stand out a lot through Jeffcott Street/Wellington Square, looking quite good.
Let's hope they're a catalyst for further taller developments in North Adelaide.

I hope the street activation on this is more impressive that the final result. It looks 15 years out of date already. SIGH!

Please tell me this is not looking as mediocre in real life as the photos suggest!? Some of the previously rejected proposals at least looked somewhat elegant. This cluster of boxes belongs in the South West corner of the CBD, not one of its major boulevards.

It resembles exactly what was rendered and I think it's basically fine.

But I have heard negative comments around the place, whether because of the design or that it's still seemingly 'out of place' in North Adelaide. Given the government money that went into bringing this to life, you'd have hoped for a more publicly popular example to sell as a housing solution for main streets across the city.

It ccertainly looks beter than the abandoned vacant block since 1990.

The renders made this look a lot nicer. These concrete colours walls already look dated from ten years ago.

I walk past it daily. Looks good and adds much needed presence to North Adelaide.

Precisely. Those of who actually live in Adelaide can appreciate the improvements we see with developments like this one, the value they add to our city, and how they can potentially be a catalyst.
Renders and reality often vary. It's not about "zomg wish it was 1927m taller".

I've lived in Adelaide most of my life and have seen the whole there. Is this better? Yes, but is this worth the 37-year wait? Absolutely not. Not in my opinion. One I'm more than able to have despite now living abroad. I'd probably end up seeing this more than you would given the number of times I travel back home and live in the area.
