I think they're starting to remove the protective panelling - they were working on the stairs side a few days ago.

In Payneham, have a great view of the city from my apartment!

They've been out of operation for over a month. Only time I've seen them in use has been during Adelaide Oval game days. Wonder if they will run them during the day once the Festival Plaza redevelopment has been completed, or if they will only be used for game days and during other major events in the precinct?

So, what feels like the 9th “final deal clinched” for this project has apparently taken place.
No doubt there will continue to be NOTHING happening on site for the foreseeable future. We’ll have to wait for the next “final, all conquering deal” probably in the new year some time.
Honestly, how embarrassing for Walker Corporation and the SA government.

Why would you be embarrassed for Walker? They extracted a longer lease, extra height on the tower and the chance to propose the second tower they wanted all along.Smithy84 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 9:32 pmSo, what feels like the 9th “final deal clinched” for this project has apparently taken place.

The government should have ripped up the contract ages ago.

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Redevelopment | $800 million
"Mr Lucas said the redevelopment would finally bring to life a 21-year-old Liberal vision for that area of the Torrens riverbank, which he unveiled as Treasurer in 2000."
There is no trace whatsoever of a vision that the Liberals or Lucas unveiled for the Torrens Riverbank in 2000, so I find it funny that they're claiming points for Labor's spearheading this project initially.
Also, one of the concessions that Lucas has allowed for so Walker foots the bill for the cost blowout, is development rights for a second tower that the government have long been against. If the first building is built and the amenities building is build also, where the fuck is the second tower going to go if not on the plaza itself???
