There's no blackmail here. He stepped down and the video was released anyway.
Or, they threatened him that they would release the video if he asked for Federal intervention, and when he did, they released the video. That's blackmail. Unless you were involved, how would you know? Were you involved? If not, then you are guessing as much as I am. If you were involved, then let's hear the details. It'd be worth hearing the inside story, if you have it.
you're formulating a conspiracy theory and have convinced yourself that is the most likely outcome without any evidence
No. I'm saying it is a possibility. With the same likelihood as your theory. You are rejecting options without evidence.

I'm not rejecting anything, my position is based on the evidence we have at hand now, however you're jumping to wild conclusions based on no evidence

And I was saying it would be interesting to see more background because of the possibilities. I'm uncertain why you have a problem with that. I didn't say that was what happened.

Do you see the difference?

That you are desperately avoiding. Be careful. People have broken legs on rabbit holes.

Just on SA Politics

Do we think we will ever get an LNP win again or are we ultimately waiting for the Greens to be the 2nd main party ?

The way both major parties are going, that's possible. However, if the Libs go down, it's likely that a more moderate centre right party will start to replace them.

Whether that's the Teals or someone else is the question.

I thought that to, in relation to a centre right party.

But don't you think Labor have become that centre right party?

Depends which Labor faction is most dominant. In SA, it could be regarded as centre-right. Whereas in Victoria, it's left.

Liberal and National are not in coalition in SA. The most recent National member in parliament was Karlene Maywald who was a member of the Labor Cabinet.

It probably makes sense from a national (small-'n') perspective for the opposition to remain called Liberal, but it might be a while before it flushes its right wing out. At the moment, the SA One Nation looks just as centrist as Liberal.

I'm sure if we ever see a National in SA again they will align with the Libs.

I don't actually think we will, they are too mining focused.

More likely an independent imo.

I've seen a bit of the one nation lady, seems to mix some normality in with standard One Nation bigotry. Getting re-elected will be their challenge

It was always so odd to me that he was re-elected twice with this corruption lurking.
