Oh yes, you're right! So, four women then Joy clearly knows what she is talking about, I had wondered if she was an architect.

I hope this discussion might encourage any women who are reading, and not posting, to jump in and have a go. It seems like there is quite a variety of people here, even in our very small female population on the site - for eg, Joy, who is a professional and me, who is nothing more than a homesick expat with a lifelong interest in the fate of Adelaide. Room for everyone

For the last 15 years I lived in places like London, Amsterdam, Moscow and Manila. Got tired of big cities, crowds, traffic, etc. -- wanted something quiet but civilised. Here I had to choose between Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, and I think Adelaide is the ideal place for me: big enough to be a city, but small enough not to be a crazy crowded megapolis.

Hi everybody!

I'm 25 years old. Studying 1st year Urban and Regional Planning at UniSA. Originally wanted to become a commercial pilot. Got side-tracked! Really enjoying what I'm learning now and hope to have a long and happy future in society.

Well, my first year in nearly over. Only 3 more exams and a few assignments left to submit. It's been a great year. Achieved a Distinction average so far. Enjoying everything I'm learning. Looking forward to not having to go to Mawson Lakes for any more subjects from now on.
