That's a good sign that this is nearly done! :D

I'm gonna bump my own question, like the pain in the ass I am. :D
Phantom wrote:Does anyone have an estimated date of completion for this one?

What about the estimated date of the tenants moving in?
If anyone knows, please let me know!!!

The overall sleek design of this one is fantastic. I love the height and style created between Gawler Place and Freemasons Lane. Even the pictures shown in "City Streets - Progressive Adelaide 75 Years On" show how much of a change this has seen, since its publication in 2012.

These boulevards of height really are slowly connecting to one another. The amount of change Adelaide has seen in the last decade is fantastic. It's really becoming more and more of a destination. :D

I don't know exactly when the building will be finished exactly, but it should be aroun the second quarter of the year.

Furthermore, just expanding your comments about change in Adelaide, here is a photo of Flinders Street, from 10 years ago (courtesy of UrbanSG):

Note the changes along Flinders Street, but also back along Franklin Street.....

The company I work for is moving into this building. The official move date is late Nov, early Dec 2015, but we have been told that the building construction is quite ahead of schedule

A decade is really nothing, but at the same time, it sounds like a long time. I've started to notice time flying these days (and I'm only 24) :P

The extension of the tram line from Vic Sq to City West was 7-8 years ago. (Just to make the rest of you contemplate how quickly it's flown by).

I went past it last night and the fencing around it has been opened up a little more, allowing you to see inside. The ground floor looks nowhere near complete at the current time (I mean that it looks nowhere near ready enough to have tenants thinking about moving in). The upper floors look good from ground level, but I'm sure they're not wired up or have plumbing and whatnot. I'm a little surprised the official date is Nov-Dec. I'm guessing that could be a worst-case scenario figure?

Still though, as I said before, this one is turning into one of my favourites. :D

From the JPE website:

Just out of interest, most of the high rise buildings in the above image were not there 10 years ago.

Hi everyone, first time on this site and I was interested particularly in the information/photos you have on the new building at 50 flinders street - as a keen photographer I was looking for a project to keep me interested and as a staff member who has worked on the old site when it was savings & loans for 15yrs and will be moving into the new building December 2015, I thought what better project. I started taking photos right from demolition of the old S&L building and the Earl of Zetland in July 2013 right up until March 2015 - the outside is not changing so much at the moment & I am waiting until completion for my next shots. If you are interested I have compiled 2 short videos of photos with music on youtube - just search for 'flinders St and gawler place' as per the attchment - thank you

Went past this one last night. Looks more or less done from the perspective of someone who knows nothing of construction. Looks really sleek and clean. Definitely one of my favourites. :D

Excellent! This is how you design a building. Elegant and understated.
