.......

A tower crane will be used for construction of the Santos building.

The Dakota apartments have been deferred with no current start date

Regards

So, maybe might come back taller?? That's still 115m territory!

It may mean sales didn't go too well. Perhaps they've deferred the project until the other buildings are complete - i'm a prospective apartment buyer, but given the choice, I wouldn't want to live next to a construction site (especially considering the alternatives on the market right now).

Or yes, maybe they've decided to sheleve the plans and are reworking it into a world's tallest proposal. :)

The land's still vacant though right? I suspect that something will be built there.

does the construction of this building mean that Santos will move into this, levaing the 135m Santos tower empty and without its blue neon light at night?

WAAAHHHHH! :(

The new santos building at Flinders Link looks like it will be a real treat. Very nice design. We need a proper render though. The one from the Advertiser was a dodgy cut and paste job imo. It is completely out of perspective to what it will actually look like on the site. So much so that someone posted a while back about it and thought that it was angular in desgin towards the street. I think you'll find it is just a basic rectangle shape on the block and has interesting parts that stick out randomly on different floors. Obviously they were attempting to show a comparison with the other commercial building which when i drove past today is really having a big effect on Flinders Street especially when looking from the east towards it. Would love to see a detailed render of Santos with a better perspective but at least we have an ideo from the current one i suppose.
