Your central pre-occupation on here has been to white wash thread after thread with anti-Labor/government nonsense.
Now, more people might take you seriously, if you weren't a Liberal party lacky, if you were unbiased in your criticism like a lot of people here are(criticising both sides of politics and so on). But you are neither.

Don't worry about PhilM, he just needs time to grow up and needs to learn how to get along with people in a civilised online community. Hopefully he'll learn one day.

Anyway back on topic now guys, I don't think Rann will stay as premier or leader of the Labor party(if they fall into opposition), for the next decade.
I reckon people will get sick of him, not necessarily due to screw ups or bad policies, but just wanting a change, similar to federally with Howard. I can see him stepping down as premier one day, taking a back bench seat or filling a spot in the Cabinet, and handing the reigns over to his deputy if public opinion(of him) starts to slide.

I had expected an announcement to made about his retirement plans. It is quite an unsual thing to do, and something I don't think is really necessary (especially when you consider that it's just a statement of his (now) intentions). However, insofar as it sends the message that Rann is not addicted to power but rather in it for the service of South Australia, it's a positive annoucement.

As much as I'm state labor fan atm (especially Rann), if Folley took charge I would seriously consider voting Liberal next election.

The way he has gone about a few things such as the Victoria Park sage is just totally inappropriate and there is something about him I have never liked.

Yes voting liberal would be a great move, they like to tackle all the big problems like foxtel ads and city smoking bans and trivial shit like that.

And have you noticed all they do is whine about the rann government but have never pledged to change anything when/if they come into power?

I just do not like Folley.

I don't think, Foley will ever be premier. My bet is that when Mike retires, Jay Weatherill will be premier.

My mail is Mike is very happy in his position. Whether he is still here in 10 years as the premier is up for discussion
but don't expect a change whilst this city is about to go boom in a big way.
