I'm reading the TV guide Amazing stuff

My reading consists of such fine literary works as Wheels, Motor, Evo.....

I'm not sure what put me off reading novels and such; I always loved English at school. I just get bored after two pages and skim-read, which is somewhat alarming when I get to page 150 in ten seconds and realise that I don't have a clue what's going on.

Now i hated English in school but seeing as Wheels and Motor are written in the English language i love it!!!

One could claim Wheelsto be not only an example of English literature, but also a statistical compliation, an engineering textbook and a psychological analysis.

Chaucer doesn't stand a chance.

So you'll be writing in some angry letters if the FG doesn't take out the '08 award, I assume? Ideally, I'm going to lift up one of the new FPVs, keep the interior and powertrain, and drop a BF II Cobra body over the top.

I'm reading a tacky detective novel that I am too embarrassed to name; to be followed by a book about American urban sprawl called, A Field Guide to Sprawl, by Dolores Hayden (I'm willing to talk about that one because it makes me sound intelligent )

"Kyle Sandilands- A Life"
An endearing homage to the great man through the eyes of his contemporaries, colleagues and friends and family.
Over 200 people expressing their heartfelt thoughts about the man and his career.
It is a tad repetitive to be honest- I'm up to page 34(only 42 pages) and all the contributions are the same- "F**KWIT"
Still- good to hear from people that actually know him and care for him.

An absorbing but somewhat unintelligble dribble about ripping off trademarks and stealing watches.

My fav author is Michel Houellebecq (pronounced ooo-ya-bek). He's french, and a steady stream of his books get translated to english.

Recently finished his book titled "The Possibility of an Island" which was about the life of Daniel 1 (a 40yo guy living in early 21st century) and Daniel 26 (the 26th clone of Daniel living way in the future). It oscillates between them chapter by chapter. This is such a cool book. It scales heights, addresses many big ideas, descends into depravity, and makes you realize some things never change...for example, Daniel 1 and Daniel 26 hate the fact the adelaide parklands are a wasteland! what an amazing coincidence

I'm now reading another by Michel Houellebecq titled "H P Lovecraft - Against the World, Against Life". It's a biography/novel about the author HPL. he seems like an interesting guy in a wierd sort of way...
