Article in todays paper. Paul Pruszinski has said they will commence construction once approved. Most likely will start in 6 - 7 months. They are still leasing 3 floors but will proceed regardless of if these are leased in time.

At tonight's ACC DAP meeting, the panel was given the recommendation to approve this development.
However, based on their recent trend, whether they actually did is unknown.
p.s. the building's height is 30m

There was some opposition from one of the dap members (the usual suspect) re: its height but good news is that this was approved.

I forgot about this one but seems it's about to commence construction. I hope there will be a tower crane but probably not at this height.

Some good news on Pruszinski Architect's new office, construction begins this Monday.
Demolition is going to take a while, anticipated Mid-Jan due to all the asbestos removal required.
No tower crane, but a near permanent mobile crane Paul tells me.
Also here are the new renders.

Thanks Howie and Paul. I'll be watching this living wall take shape with interest. If it's successful hopefully many more buildings will give it a go.

It looks somewhat less iconic than I would have expected from these guys, but it will be interesting to watch how the vertical garden comes up. A bit of a setback from the street, with a small paza in the front with a few trees, would have been nice.
cheers,

that is the difference between designing something for someone else to pay...and designing something you are paying for a I guess.rhino wrote:It looks somewhat less iconic than I would have expected from these guys, but it will be interesting to watch how the vertical garden comes up. I too am a bit surprised these guys are happy to continue to glass box syndrome currently infecting every development.

Id rather see a glass box than a precast concrete box

What you see there is not a concrete wall, it's a wind arbor ala marina bay sands of singapore.serca wrote:Id rather see a glass box than a precast concrete box

That looks great! I knew it was not a concrete wall i was implying that glass boxes look better than a concrete box.Howie wrote:What you see there is not a concrete wall, it's a wind arbor ala marina bay sands of singapore.serca wrote:Id rather see a glass box than a precast concrete box
You would think it would of had to of been a concrete wall due to being built on the boundary ?? Renders look great!

which would explain whilst I'm not questioning their other designs, this one would be cheaper.
