I think it's like a rebadged suzuki swift. If so, it should be economical but no rocket. If it's an A-B car you want, I guess it's reasonable. Just check to see if it runs on unleaded or leaded. I think LRP is a bit more expensive.

My first car was a 2 door hatch datsun sunny! was't a bad buzz box really!

Learnt in a HZ lime green Kingswood wagon

First car: Valiant safari wagon (dads bumming around car)
second car: 1978 TD Gemini
Third car: 1982 Datsun Stanza SSS
fourth car: 1972 Valiant Charger six pak
fifth car: Nissan pulsar SSS turbo (imported)
sixth car: HSV clubsport

nah just got sick and tired of driving them...most of the cars were modified to some degree, so some wannabe wanted a fast car...offered me more money than i bought it for..so i sold it... Except for the valiant safari....we took that to bush drove it around on dirt tracks, smashed it into trees, did burnouts, donuts etc...removed the badging and number plates and left it there


Have had only 2 accidents in my life.....none of which were my fault,

1 chick failed to give way at an intersection gave me 10 metres to stop from 60km/h...totalled the stanza.

Then some turkey rammed into me when i was stationary in his kingswood at the intersection of South road and Anzac Highway.... said he wasnt speeding to the cops...but they had to pull gemini from the inside configurations of the kingswood engine...

well i guess that is always a bonus when you make a profit.
i've been in a car accident myself - but i was the passenger and it wasn't my drivers fault either! some people just can't drive.

that would've been awsome fun with the Valiant!

I guess the kinda thing a bloke has to do...to learn limitations etc etc etc...but looking back at it....i spent most of my disposable income at the time on the cars.....so, in hindsight if i had my time again probably wouldnt do it again.......


But your right some people just cant drive.......in both my accidents the other drivers were P platers...so, it says something about driver education systems in Australia...

i didn't get my licence til i was 21 as i wasn't ready back in the younger years - saw all my friends have accidents and things and it just seemed safer to walk or catch a bus. i didn't feel confident enough to get it at 16.
i'm actually glad i waited til i was mature enough to know and understand it all. most kids think driving is a game but i think it's a privellage.

I on the other hand started to drive at the age of 11 (over seas) started driving tractors/motorcycles etc....so i had some level of respect and knowledge of the road and its potential pitfalls. I got my license to drive at 16 and didnt wait too long before i went for my P's test...4 weeks i think....

At 17 though i took an advanced driver education course (something i advocate that every young driver should do) it was the best $600 i ever spent. What i learnt during the 2 day course saved me from many potential accidents in the future. Ive been driving for nearly 20 years now and only 2 accidents to my name (which i attracted 0 blame for)...

Its all about education and confidence, build up the amount of driving experience in all conditions (ie night/day wet/dry city/country) learn how to control a car once something goes wrong (by doing a driver education course) then one will be more confident behind the wheel, which will reduce the road toll.....Limitations to vehicle size, power or curfew's wont reduce the road toll (you can make a very slow car slide/drift and do burnouts). Speed camera's wont reduce fatalities either, they just raise revenue for the government... Teach young kids appropriately and problems get solved....

dosn't even matter about how many horrifying pictures you show the young drivers of today they will still drive carlessly. i think the only way they will learn is at the expense of some one seriously being hurt or worse killed by their immature actions and the inexperience.

Nah but T5 is a bloody nice car infact I wouldnt mind getting one now at all.

Mine was like this but in a dark blue almost black. Great little car, fully featured and reliable.
