Not pretty. Admittedly I'm not sure how much more they can do on such a narrow little site, and it looks like they've put in a little effort breaking up the southern wall, but still.
That eastern wall is bad, and will be prominent along that street until something else goes up, which may be a long time.

Hell has frozen over. I'm about to defend a development with blank walls.
BUT
Given the area lacks height, these brutal walls aren't so bad, given the front/back of the building is done well.
What makes me so weirded out is that there are so many concrete finished half-arsed developments going up. This wouldn't look so bad had it been the only one of its kind, but GOD DAM IN HELL this is another box.

You've got to be kidding me. There are some pretty average developments around the place (plenty of good ones as well), but this is in a league of its own. It will be made to look even more ridiculous sandwhiched between those two tiny cottages.

I kind of like it

Does anyone have an update on this project ?
[CAN] Re: 126 Wright Street | 57m | 18 levels | Apartments
I'm sure somebody already knows this but there's a board out the front of the site now advertising apartments. Apparently the building will be called 'Soul'.

To backup my recent post:
Does this deserve a name change?

What's the point of a few small windows in an otherwise large featureless flat wall? Either it needs to be featureless and flat because it is on the property boundary and potentially has another flat wall up against it, or it is not, and can have more windows and features...?

Stop complaining. It's fine.

The small windows are probably for bathrooms and toilets.SBD wrote: ↑Sun Apr 22, 2018 5:47 pmWhat's the point of a few small windows in an otherwise large featureless flat wall? Not too shabby... but I think a name like Stick, Plinth, Totem or even Pez Dispenser would have been more suitable.
