Thanks for the latest round of photographic updates throughout the forum Adam!

In regard to the planet naming of the floors, it is probably influenced by the slogan for the carpark "parking at Ezi-park is out of this world"

This seems like a good idea.
Childcare for Santos complex

Article from: The Advertiser

A CHILDCARE centre is planned for the Santos complex in the city - the first to be developed within a major CBD high-rise office tower.
The $1 million centre is part of a refurbishment of the city's tallest building.

It would accommodate up to 100 children and occupy the first level of the two-storey Delmont Building, linked to the main 30-storey Santos tower. The first floor would be converted into a childcare facility and open play area while an outdoor play area would also be incorporated.

Preference would be given to children of Santos employees but the centre would also be open to others.

The building is managed by Knight Frank, whose managing director, Don Crouch, said yesterday the centre planned to open in mid-2007 when the lease held by Santos expired.

Jodie Spencer, who has two children aged under three, hopes to return to Knight Frank next year.

"I think the childcare centre is a fantastic idea because I could drop my two young children off on the way to work and they are nearby if I need to get to them for any reason," she said.

This makes no sense that Santos staff get priority but they are opening this when Santos moves out of the building and down the road!! Shouldn't it be Westpac staff that get priority cos it is their building.

From today. First sign of the overhang glass and it looks great. Even better in person. Santos is really growing on me now, very nice. Shame it isn't a bit taller rather than so long and covered by SGIC.

Not sure if anyone noticed the 6 massive cooling towers on top of Santos now. If they are now covered up somehow it will completely fuck up the building.

(they are massive, at a guess, 4-6m tall.)

SOLD!!!
$156m for Flinders precinct

November 16, 2006 01:15am

Article from The Advertiser

THE soon-to-be-completed Flinders Link precinct has sold for $156 million.

The site, in Flinders St, has two office towers and a multi-deck, 700-bay car park.
Developers Hindmarsh, The Kambitsis Group and PT Building Services yesterday announced the sale to SachsenFonds Australian Property, the Australian arm of a German-based property syndicator and funds management group SachsenFonds.

City Central Tower 1 retains the record price for a city office building at $143 million, with the Flinders Link development consisting of the two separate buildings and parking facilities.

A 450sq m development site adjacent the IAG building was also included in the sale.

Property Council of Australia state executive director Nathan Paine described the price as "amazing".
