Pure speculation, but perhaps there's an issue with the tenants of those levels not able to give access for the workers?monotonehell wrote:Love your work Crawf.
The question still remains, are they going to replace the 8 levels of black glass? I'm really hoping so.
Quite likely. That sort of thing goes on all the time.UrbanSG wrote:I would say it is possible they are waiting to complete the lower floors that are currently being worked on and which have not been occupied by GHD and allow those companies on the upper floors to move into these lower floors and then do the upper floors that are remaining. Sorry that gets a bit confusing
Type: Development Application Received

i've a mate who is a lawyer on one of the upper floors. Many tenants have ~3years to run on their leases and are refusing to move just so pretty glass can be affixed to the building. They want compensation for the cost of moving to lower floors (and back again later) including big $$$ for loss of income (and we all know lawyers get paid megabucks by the minute) but apparently the owners don't want to pay that much compensation. Catch 22.rhino wrote:Quite likely. You would think that the landlord would have some sort of standard "renovation vacancy clause" in the lease agreement. Self-inflicted joke it seems.Pikey wrote:Are you serious?
So, this thing will potentially be half finished for 3 years.
What a fucking joke.
i share your concern, but also empathise with my mate. Why should he fund the owner/landlords desire to renovate the building? He's got payments to make on his yacht, holiday house, sports car, secret girlfriend, etc...bm7500 wrote:Lawyers.... they will always find some way to F#@k you over.... looks like they have F#@ked all of Adelaide this time
What's the difference between a lawyer and a catfish?bm7500 wrote:Lawyers.... they will always find some way to F#@k you over.... looks like they have F#@ked all of Adelaide this time
