Is the top of the crane an indication of height?

The lift core on the north side of the tower is now at maximum height
The core on the south side has risen since this photo was taken a couple of nights back and is now at level 18

Are you sure? The building height is supposed to be 115m which would make it at least 25m taller than Intercontinental Hotel next door. It looks about par atm.

I'm not sure about that mate. The project still has quite a bit to go, I imagine it'll go a bit further

Not sure exactly what you mean here, but usually in taller builds one lift core might service say levels 1-15 and another 16-30 for example. So if the north side lift core has topped out here, that would make sense.

Level 17 would probably be the lift shaft overrun, so it's likely that the low-rise lifts run as high as Level 16 while the high-rise lifts serve levels 16 to 29.

Sorry if I explained it badly - half of the lift well (the northern set of lifts) has terminated at level 17 - the remaining (Southern one) is now at level 18 with 11 levels to go.
Some photos from today - the reflective glass and the indents on the external wall are looking good.

Great photos. This is having a big impact. Would have liked a more iconic design overallz but too late now. It might turn out alright in nice light when complete.

I have to say the facade treatment and variation on this tower is very impressive. It has certainly lifted what is a fairly basic design and given it some really interesting elements. I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far

The rear facade of Parliament House has its own unique architectural merit which current planners/architects and developers are intent on concealing. If there is a second tower the bottom levels should make a feature of it rather than hide it. If the second tower doesn’t get up, the current designs for the retail/hospitality buildings should go back onto the drawing board.
