I saw that yesterday too. What is happening there? Just re-cladding or something more?
I believe they are replacing the composite aluminum cladding at a cost of $1.4m

Mont Barker Council are cautioning against the planned direction of GARP, which is ditching infill targets. Some great tidbits in here:

For those who haven't read it, this is the Engagement Report on the Hackham Code Amendment. I can't recall if I have posted the link previously.
It was released a while ago but is a good read with some submissions from a few members here. The opposition is strong but not in a NIMBY way. In fact, reasons against the development are strong and consistent, and well-articulated.

Townhouses now under construction at 116 Rose Terrace Wayville.

That's a much better use of that space than it was when it was the Peugeot new car holding yard.

I took a photo of this too. A much better use of land, but higher density would be great - townhouses are a bit of a waste.
There is an eight storey proposal for 126 Rose Terrace, which is currently a dusty gravel carpark.

I really like that area. I've been to the new basketball stadium a few times recently and almost can't believe that section of Wayville with the Boulevard zoning hasn't seen more action.
8 stories would have been nice, hopefully #126 goes ahead too. I find it puzzling that there are the apartment blocks popping up all along Churchill Rd yet Rose Tce would have to be way better for sale prices etc.

Rose Terrace is indeed nice but does need some TLC, mostly around reducing its use as a carpark.

I don't know how - if at all - anyone is surprised that building on salt pans is not a good idea?
Also, it'd be great if Nick Champion no longer commented on planning matters.

Well as long as they want to maintain the mangroves and not raise the ground level, nor spend a fortune mitigating the salinity issues.
But all that aside, who the hell would want to live next to the main garbage dump of the city along with recycling centres that cause untold pollution in the area.

Looks like Wayville copped it in the storm this morning. I hope everyone is ok. One saving grace, it looks to have landed between the fence and house with unbelievable accuracy.

I didn't think the winds in that storm were that strong, or wasn't that secured properly?
