Re: Beer Garden
Excuse me, gents - a bit of news:
The end for Gillard? I'd like to see her negotiate herself out of this brewing mess:
Anthony Albanese has allegedly been photographed leaving a brothel in Sydney whose owner has an application before council for redevelopment. Brothels are illegal in Sydney. The following two messages have been received by a journalist:
"[NAME REDACTED - a widely respected Federal Labor Parliamentary figure] interviewed Anthony Albanese on Wednesday, 20 March and put a number of matters associated with the Thai massage establishment to Mr Albanese. Mr Albanese confirmed that he was present at the Thai massage business on Friday, 15 March. He said that he was there for the purpose of receiving a therapeutic massage and not for the purpose of receiving sexual services. Mr Albanese said he did not receive any sexual services.
Other enquiries were made of Mr Albanese about the nature of his relationship if any with the owners of the business and any knowledge he may have about any Development Application submitted to the Marrickville Council by the business. Mr Albanese said that he acted properly at all times and had done nothing wrong."
and then,
“A senior Federal Labor Parliamentary figure interviewed Albanese about the Thai establishment. Mr Albanese immediately relinquished his Deputy PM aspirations”.
Wow. This could be the end for Albo, his wife, an ex-deputy mayor of Marrickville council and deputy premier of NSW Carmel Tebbitt, and perhaps for Julia, who must be aware of all this, if it's true, of course.
It certainly puts Rudd's dud coup in a different light. And what about Julia's views on misogyny - 'I'll call it when I see it'.

Re: Beer Garden
I'm going to have to completely disagree with you there.Waewick wrote:well I had a burger from Burger Theory - a bit meh really can;t understand the difference between that and Hungry Jacks (in terms of flavour)
Re: Beer Garden
and that is fair enough.Nathan wrote:I'm going to have to completely disagree with you there.Waewick wrote:well I had a burger from Burger Theory - a bit meh really can;t understand the difference between that and Hungry Jacks (in terms of flavour)
to be fair to BT, the burger hasn't repeated on me and I haven't been left feeling like I ate a burger...so it is a win there.

Some positive news
REAL estate group CBRE will host its Asian awards program in Adelaide this year. It's the first time the event has been held outside of Asia. It rewards CBRE's leading property professionals across Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, China, India, Thailand, Philippines, Korea, Malaysia and Vietnam.

And, apparently Chinese 'superbank' eyes Adelaide base? Unfortunately, most times, this is as far as it goes for us

Re: Beer Garden
OK, maybe this construction forum isn't the place to post that sort of thing. I thought the lads here might appreciate a bit of hot news. It happens to be true, by the way. What's more, the Libs have one of their own in a similar predicament, so are reluctant to pursue it.
As a matter of interest, when have I been wrong about any example of political skullduggery I've mentioned here?

Re: Beer Garden
That being said, this is the beer garden and "anything goes here". The goings on in politics of late becomes grubbier by the day. We should be alarmed by who is actually pulling the strings of this government, the deals they have done, and the poisition this has left them in. An absolute wipeout of Labour at the next election will not be healthy and I would suggest many will not like the punishment that will follow. The austerity will hurt! I would suggest if you find such things offensive, ignore the post, I preferr to read as much as I can from as many different sources and make a balanced judgement by polling day.SRW wrote:You trash the credibility of this site and community when you post shit like that, stumpjumper. Re: Beer Garden
All your posts are "I heard that [[union rep]] and [[Labor minister]] had lunch! They must be in cahoots to take the leadership!" Unless we have access to SDA members' day planners like you seem to, we can't dispute any of the crap you post here, not because it's incorrect but because there's no evidence of any of it on either side.stumpjumper wrote:As a matter of interest, when have I been wrong about any example of political skullduggery I've mentioned here?
