I'm sorry to go off topic mods, but what exactly is "dressing black"? Define dressing black?

I'll give you a visual..

Hip hop culture does not start and end with black people. It might not be your cup of tea, but that doesn't mean that other non-black people don't enjoy that style of music.
This idea that white people or asians cant wear basketball singlets or baseball caps is absurd and only shows your own ignorance of the world you live in. Grow up.

And on the topic of the opening, I think you guys will find there will be quite a few older people there.
And it might not be such bad marketing, given that those young people who are undoubtedly going to attend a free concert, will grow up to be the consumers of tomorrow.

I think the ideas of "dressing black" or music being aimed at a particular age group are both very old-fashioned, and a little offensive to be honest.

Anyone can dress any way they like (although they may look silly if it doesn't suit them) or listen to any music they like.

Grow up? Really?

I'm talking about the opening of a shopping centre and how it is meant to be celebrating something new and exciting, so they bring a musical group or two aimed at the youth market and now I need to grow up? Thanks. I'm just typing quickly here, I didn't stop to think "Oh, is this politically correct?", I just wrote exactly my thoughts on the topic. Anyway, I stand by my thoughts that this just appears to be a tacky way to get people to come along. I feel that if they had thought about putting on something slightly better, that it wouldn't seem so bad. I mean, didn't the Myer Centre have freakin' acrobats and performers when they opened? Hahaha.

Exactly what I was talking about! Plus it does not look bland, and Apple has still yet to reveal!

5 years of waiting from the initial concept! Looks like it was well worth it.

Wow thanks for sharing. We had a Virgin Megastore? It must not have lasted long?

And there was a Best and Less in there? Funny how things change.

I miss those lego expos.

Interesting there is so much Coles signage and not much for HS.

It was a three level store, impressive for the times. Lasted quite a few years, I think it closed somewhere around 1997?

If the shot was zoomed out a bit, there's a large HS sign of the frontage. The Coles sign is all you see there.

Front of the Advertiser had an ad for Coles giving away free iced coffee's while stocks last. Only 375ml, but Anthony free is good. Unless you don't like iced coffee, like myself..

Well I grabbed my free iced coffee! Wandered quickly through the food court area from Grenfell St and came out in the mall. The food area looks pretty spacious and had a newsagency and chemist on that level also as well as the Coles store.

Newsagent and chemist on basement floor near foodcourt.

Now why does that sound so familiar?
