Christmas Riverbank Display
(27/11/2010 to 31/12/2010)
Visit the renowned Christmas Riverbank Display and celebrate a local tradition that has stretched across half a century.
Since 1959 the festive display – which is the length of five football fields – has brought joy and amazement to families across South Australia.
The themes of this year’s moving displays include Father Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, and the Nativity.
BTW, I'd like to catch a tram to Hindmarsh at nighttime someday.

From the Messenger:
West End transforms into Carnevale
Local News16 Dec 10 @ 12:00pm by Jessica Whiting
Ready for the Carnevale are: Emily, Gaby, Alexia from Las Chicas Bombas with (from left) Andrew, Rory, Kathleen and Josh.
THE colour and bustle of bazaars from Sao Paolo to Marrakech are inspiration for this weekend’s West End Christmas Market and Carnevale.
Leigh St will be closed on Sunday for the inaugural event, which will showcase world dance, music, food and gifts from 30 hand-picked art and craft stalls.
Families are also catered for with a kids’ zone with balloon sculptors, face painting and a pinata.
Adelaide West End Association co-ordinator Helen Page says the event is a perfect afternoon out for those looking for a taste of culture or a last-minute Christmas present.
“We hope to bring all the taste, sights and sounds from exotic countries to the heart of the West End,” she says.
West End Christmas Market and Carnevale, Sunday (December 19), noon-8pm. More details: www.adelaidewestend. com.au/

just reading the Fringe guide Ive noticed that the Tuxedo Cat bar (which was that rooftop bar down Synagogue Place for the Fringe) will operating this Fringe from Electra House, 131 King William Street. Very interesting. I wonder if its in the old building or on that vacant plot
Re: What's Happening in Adelaide
It's the building. Renew Adelaide had a call out for volunteers to help clean up the place not so long ago. Looking forward to it.jk1237 wrote:just reading the Fringe guide Ive noticed that the Tuxedo Cat bar (which was that rooftop bar down Synagogue Place for the Fringe) will operating this Fringe from Electra House, 131 King William Street.
