Also, I've found it is a great way to showcase the city
Because SSC is crap.
Don't tell everyone Adelaide is changing, we might get inundated with smelly feral east coasters. Or worse, west coasters.

Although you raise an important point, I cannot be bothered posting on SSC, as its bad for my blood pressure. Having to defend Adelaide from people's outdated stereotypes every day isn't good for me.

Every city has stereotypes. Luckily, ours isn't going to stay for long. I have never been too active on SSC but I certainly will now. People advertising their cities online is probably one of the best ways to attract interest.

My entire life, until October, I've lived on streets with them, so they'd never really bothered me and just seemed like part of the furniture. And it feels weird in other states seeing their wooden poles.
Now I notice streets/areas that don't have them anymore, and they seem to bother me more when I do see them.

Anyone heard from Omicron? Last posted Nov 2012. I miss his laconic humor.

That's interesting, Wayno.
I was just wondering about another forum member who appears to have 'gone missing' since last year.
Queen Anne, where are you?

I last chatted with Caroline (Queen Anne) in mid 2012. She and partner, Peter (Prince George), had moved home from the US to Adelaide with family life consuming their spare time. I believe they were 'lost souls' as such in the US, with sens-adelaide helping them stay in touch with local life.

I saw him yesterday in the Mall. Not to talk to though. So he's still alive.

Omi can talk. He's not mute, just so everyone is clear on that.

I'm still around! Just not much of an active poster anymore. Why, do you miss me?
