Ben you had the scoop on this because I didn't hear anything official until this morning as predicted! Can't wait for this, great addition to the mall!

It's a pity Zara didn't go into Rundle Mall too. Now that the hype's died down at the Burnside Shopping Centre and with the redevelopment of Rundle Mall, I wonder if Zara regret that location now? That being, their one and only SA store in a suburban shopping centre?

There's a rumour in the CBD retail thread that they are in negotiations to take over AMart's space in CityCross, and to leave Burnside.

Well i visited Rundle Place today and departed $500 poorer (couple of tops from Ted Baker, luggage from Harris Scarfe, beanie & scarf from Point Zero).

I found the top floor of Harris Scarfe a bit confusing. Almost walked down the escalator without paying - lol. Neglected to realise the 2 halves of Harris Scarfe are essentially separate shops. oops. They have a person standing guard at the escalator and the payment counter is hidden away on a far wall. Poorly thought through if you ask me.

Rundle Mall is really returning as the premier destination for shopping in Adelaide. And it's great to see Apple opting for the 7 PM closure instead of 5 PM. Hopefully one day, most shops will stay open till 7.

Apple store has had its hoarding removed. (I didn't have time to stop to take any pictures sorry, I was a bit late for work.)

That's it.

Not an awning as such, just a thick frame around the glass.

Looks good. Paving upgrade can't come soon enough.

I can't see stairs in that photo. Is it still a 2 storey store?

According to the Rundle Place map, there are stairs toward the back western side of the store. Not sure if they're accessible to customers.

There's floor space on level 1 above the store that potentially belongs to Apple. At a guess, this may be their stock room.

We'll have to wait and see.
