Cant believe how much better that underpass looks. Now to spruce up those shopfronts and I might actually say its inviting. Cant wait to see the the rest of the station refurb :applause:. Thanks for the photo updates !!

Didn't realise the underpass was getting revamped too (phew).

Are the plans around anywhere?

That underpass is a perfect location for a relay shop. The underpass should be open all the time as well, what the F is with it being half open on weekends so you walk all the way to the escalators only to find some barrier blocking off the exit so you have to walk back the way you came #rage :wallbash:

Hi All, An update of Current works taking place on the Noarlunga Rail Line in readiness for Electrification.
As of Yesterday (23rd Jan) the Rail was pulled up as far as the Angus Ave Level Crossing, With the Sleepers pulled up as far as Edwardstown Platform. The rail between Clarence Park and Emerson was left in the middle of the alignment, and in yesterdays heat was buckled acrossed the right of way.
Overhead Support Poles are in place between the Chrysler Rd level crossing and approx half way up the Stanvac Bank. (as far as the major work site used in the Earlier Rebuild). Crews were Drilling holes for the next lot of poles Adjacent the Stanvac Stabling Yard, which has a few Poles already in place down number 1 Road.
Now some Photos of the Current Works

Looking down the Stanvac Bank. (the Bunting is where I'm assuming the Electrical connection to the Grid will be. A Traction Substation is being built behind the photo on the Left. Crates on site had Siemens written all over them)

I have a question regarding the electrification of the Adelaide rail network.....Has there been any thoughts or plans to supplement the power supply to the newly electrified network by solar power? What I am thinking of is 4 or 5 mini solar power stations dotted along each railway line pumping energy in to power the network.....too expensive?....too impractical?...I am sure someone here can answer this question. Also has this been tried anywhere else in the world? (Spain?)
