Being on a Tram also offers a certain element of safety that the trains generally don't provide and that is being in the middle of traffic, pedestrians, feeling like your not as isolated as opposed to the train. I thought this. It'd be nice if they reinstalled them in the Railway Station too. Were they removed because of security concerns? The grass layed in and out of the Victoria Square sections was completely stupid considering the drought and water restrictions. It looks terrible now. They should have used true innitiative and planted native low lying grass species that look almost the same as grass and can still be trodden on and hardly grow even 1cm tall. Or placed dripper irrigation underneath the grass which is a new trend. Basically english grass and Australia don't mix! How much longer until we realise this.

Yes. Now you can actually get off a tram near where you want to be in the evenings, and not have to travel through as many darkened side streets, past goodness knows who stumbling out of alleys and whatnot. They were removed because of security concerns, and every time I want to use a bin I am reminded of a certain religion and some of its adherents. I haven't noticed a lot of rubbish on the new tram stops, but the stuff in the trains keeps the cleaners busy.SRW wrote:I thought this. I'm with you Phil, no matter how often I see the Macca's tram it just doesn't do anything for me !PhilH wrote: (105) certainly is the best one so far (I think the red Maccas one is hideous).
