Things I miss about Adelaide:
The Germans
The Italians
The Greeks.

Food here is terrible for what you pay for. There's no kabab/yiros shops, no good take out shops, and the smallgoods are pricey.

I had always assumed that the mix of these migrants in Adelaide was typical of Australia. When we moved over, we found the food here to be either of poor standard or expensive, but we assumed it was incomes were higher and people go to higher class places than we do. This week we actually found a decent chip shop, and we were talking to the owners. We told them our plight, and they pointed it out to us.

Theres been a few changes around the city recently such as the Pacific International hotel on Hindmarsh Square has been renamed 'Mantra', UniSA now occupies a building on Currie Street (basically right opposite TAFE SA Adelaide City Campus), Adelaide Convention Centre's new logo has gone neon and many other smaller changes...

Plus for anyone who goes to TAFE SA Adelaide City Campus, you would know about the Atrium revamp. Personally I loath it, they are currently replacing the large glass atrium's which bring alot of natural light into the campus with tinned roofs (incl skylights) because of leakage and OH&S concerns. Actually on the subject of 'TAFE SA' theres going to be alot of changes at how it is run in the next few years such as alot of classroom based subjects will be scrapped and replaced with vitural learning at home and there is chance that there will only be 3 TAFE campuses in South Australia because of this change. Which will disadvantage many people, especially in regional areas, people with disabilities and there will be a major problem with students getting motivated to complete the work at home - especially that some of the courses are boring as f*ck  .

Had a home made Pie Floater for breakfast yesterday. Went down very well :D

Currently sitting in TAFE looking at Westpac House which is only 200m away from my window as well as wishing that the 'Heart of Glass' was up by now!

Where on earth did 3pm come from so soon? I have to be in town at half-past five! Everyone to the Duke for $3.50 pizza, and my radical new solution for increased patronage. 8)

I actually didn't go out tonight, it was too windy for the others or something.

I thought I was gonna see you at HQ or something... considxering you get drunk and walk around blind in the city every Saturday night.

On a side note, I am drunk right now.

I stayed in tonight, too - quite an unfamiliar situation. I shall make amends next weekend, don't you worry.

Have we found our way into the wine cellar again, Mr. Norman?

Too cold wet and rainy Crawf-eh. I stayed in and partied with a bottle of red, a large packet of peanuts and a collection of MP3s myself.

Not in the mood for fishfingers this week, hey?

Well, I'm home now, I got drunk with me mates last night at their house. You gotta love Drinking Flipsies (don't worry, it's a card game).

Now I'm at home with only 4 hours sleep or something.

I went out on Friday night till 3am...

Apparently we devoted 4 hours of our time trying to find a meaning for the word pesh. Which is some random word I totally made up. I don't even know how that came about, but meh. Anyway, we concluded that the night's events was a pesh sesh, meaning that to go out to town for drinks & smokes is to pesh. You can now start calling your friends and say 'Wanna pesh tonight?'.

Wasn't the best night to go out though. It was rainy and windy all night, and I had four layers of clothing on and was still cold, me being me, I complained all night and eventually we went indoors to play pool.
