Thanks Howie - great news - one of the best looking bldgs I've seen proposed for Adelaide. I am a bit of a sucker for curved bldgs as they break the box syndrome we have here. Hope it actually eventuates.

What major hotel chains are we missing in Adelaide that could occupy this building?

Any chance Paul Pruszinski is sharpening his pencil to draw in a few additional levels on this one now?

Do you know why Hyatt left Adelaide, and the Hyatt became the Intercontinental?

The hotel building was sold by the owners and with it the operater left. All hotel buildings are privatly owned generally and an operator leases out the building, much as Hines does with Mantra, Crowne etc but they own the building.

I'm not sure if this is a recent development but "Closing Down" sign are now erected all over this building.
I've also heard from a semi reliable source Accor will be opening a hotel in Adelaide being either a Novotel or Sofitel. I say semi reliable as they told me it's going above the shopping centre on the Harris Scarfe site. Clearly not happening but maybe they mean the Hines site or this one? time will tell.
