Oh Jeebus! Joel's old stuff lol I'd almost forgotten about that. Jonti was always my favourite though (Weebl & Bob etc) he's all sold out advertising for Cadbury's now, lucky bastard.

I've spent my life on b3ta.com

Oh, hell. To be perfectly honest, I wish I had the $1000 required to buy that T-shirt.

Apparently we devoted 4 hours of our time trying to find a meaning for the word pesh. Which is some random word I totally made up. I don't even know how that came about, but meh. Anyway, we concluded that the night's events was a pesh sesh, meaning that to go out to town for drinks & smokes is to pesh. You can now start calling your friends and say 'Wanna pesh tonight?'.

Wasn't the best night to go out though. It was rainy and windy all night, and I had four layers of clothing on and was still cold, me being me, I complained all night and eventually we went indoors to play pool.
"Wana pesh tonight"
Is what New Zealanders or South Africans say when they want to make out.
 Monotonehell, it might be a name in Eastern Europe, but here in Oz it could mean penis! In Neapolitan (Naples, Italy) pesce (prounouced pesheh) is a colloquial term for penis. In Italian it means fish. Immigrants here have cut it down to the pronounciation without the 'e' or eh on the end. So whatever you do, don't say that to a girl from southern Italy here in Oz (or even in Naples), you might get more than what you've bargained for.

You want dick tonight?

Cheers

No offence Norman, but Coke will destroy any good quality alcohol. Either drink it straight or mix it with something else. I think too many people have been conditioned to have their alcohol with Coca Cola, it's addictive. That's my belief anyway. As for Cruisers, they are lollywater. Also I must add, drink your alcohol to enjoy it, not to abuse it, you'll appreciate it more.

Nah, nah, nah! Fuck those Cruisers aren't even vodka. They're just alcoholic cordials.
I'm talking about the real vodka. Absolut, Smirnoff, etc. Drink 'em straight out of the bottle, no mixers.
Shuz, if you like vodka very much (which I did when I drank years ago), go for the Polish variety. I'm not a Polak, but I have many friends who are. When we partied we had the best Polish (imported wodka - pronouced vodka... ). Forget the Russian vodka's as they seem cheap in comparison to the Polish kind, even the Swedish and Finnish ones are better. If you have to go for a Russian vodka go for Stolichnaya (or Stoli for short), they seem to be the best from there. Have you tried the flavoured Polish vodkas? If not, go for the cherry vodka, Wisniówka or Krupnik which is honey-vodka, sublime, but if you prefer straight vodka, try Wyborowa, or if you want a bitter taste try Zubrówka (bison grass vodka). If you want to kill yourself have the Polish Pure Spirit, 160 proof (80 per cent alcohol), which I recommend drinking in small doses 50-50 with pure spring water. If you want to make home made flavoured vodkas, use this, and then stretch it out with the spring water.

Cheers

P.S. Since vodka never freezes (makes a good antifreeze) store your bottle in the freezer. It’s superb! Happy drinking!

If you're going to abuse my beloved apostrophe at least do it consistently ;)

I'd just like to add that most off the shelf vodkas here in Australia come from New Zealand. I used to keep a bottle of good vodka and a bottle of good gin in my freezer, but my Ukrainian friend likes it too much and I can't keep up the resupply. So now my freezer only has ice. :(

Monotonehell, I usually don't make those mistakes like too many others here. I did see it, but I couldn't be bothered to change it. I'm on a very slow 56k dial up connection and it takes me forever to post with the browser I have (iCab on a G3 Mac running 9.2.2), imagine editing!! Just for the record, IE5 (for the Mac 9.2.2) doesn't like S-A at all, so I have to use this crap until I get home on my PC (XP) and broadband. Even Opera is a bit funny and slow on my PC :( . Will be upgrading to a top of the line iMac next month. Was going to buy one back in November last year, but the kids came first!! :D Cheers monotonehell!

I agree. i'm a lover of the Black Russian - which should never involve coke.

I recently gave a bottle of the classic Johnny Walker Blue Label to my Uncle for his 60th birthday, and his wife drank it with coke - pure sacrilege!!! :(

Trust me, I do drink to enjoy, not to get drunk. The only time I get drunk is if I play Drinking Flipsies or Beer Pong... and whatever other drinking games I get sucked into.

And when I do mix my Walker with Coke, it's quite a bit of Walker, so I do have to drink it slow anyway. I have to get used to it slowly I guess. I do hate going to a bar and getting a Walker and Coke there because it's so watered down it's not funny. It's freaking expensive too!

I haven't found a beer I like yet, so I have to try a few more.

For the record, I had my first drink at the age of 17

I've been on the bottle since I was 14. :D

Its so interesting how we consistently hear of these 'crackdowns on binge drinking' because its bad for peoples health and the lift of alcopop taxes, la-di-da-dah which supposedly all the 12-20 year olds drink. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but why is the Goverment quite literally 'promoting' that minors be allowed to drink? If you think about it, there seems to be no argument against allowing minors to drink, just the argument of 'reducing drinking habits'....

Then again, when the police caught me out, all they do is just take away your alcohol. No fine, just a slap on the wrist and "don't do it again" lecture. Not even a recording of names. And yet the 'law' states that minors are forbidden to drink, and that such-and-such penalties are issued... and I've not ever heard of anyone be penalised 'legally' as such.

I really think that we may just as well not bother with having the law in the first place - as in some cases, legalising such actions reduces the incidence of such action to take place. If anything, a compromise should be achieved which limits the sale of an amount of alcohol sold to a minor...

I'll try the Polish vodka someday. Smirnoff's suits my style best though :P

Coke diluters can expect an e-slap from me. That's more woman than drinking a Cruiser.

If I recall correctly - there' s no law against minors consuming alcohol, only against them being sold it, being on licensed premises after midnight or without parents. So when cops nick your booze they're relying on the "following the directions of an officer of the law" - law. Or possibly some truancy common law or some such. I could be wrong, I haven't looked up the legislation.

Funny how I always thought he was drunk most of the time.
