Recommend changing thread title to SA1 Tower and height to 180m
Any hints when public unveiling will be coming?

Imminently - the client and architects lodged with SCAP before xmas. I guess SCAP have been on leave and now in the process of releasing this publicly. It's an exciting time after a very long journey to get to this point!

Awesome, it's five years since we first heard about it, so imagine it's been much longer behind the scenes!

The difference between SA1 Tower and previous tall proposals for Adelaide is that in this case the work has actually been done with regard to aviation.

Very crude handrawn outline on my phone, but this gives an idea of the impact on the skyline.

Presumably this is taking up all of the three story red brick housing the solar place, and the attached ground level car park, all the way back to the concrete wall behind? Solid use of the space if so

CDJ i assume you’ve seen what this looks like.
What are your thoughts on the design without giving much away?

Now that it's public, you'll get to see the renders shortly. The design is elegant and striking while also being sympathetic to the streetscape. JPE and Cox have done a brilliant job. I think most will be happy with it.
