Now correct me if I'm wrong, but why is the Goverment quite literally 'promoting' that minors be allowed to drink? If you think about it, there seems to be no argument against allowing minors to drink, just the argument of 'reducing drinking habits'....
Then again, when the police caught me out, all they do is just take away your alcohol. No fine, just a slap on the wrist and "don't do it again" lecture. Not even a recording of names. And yet the 'law' states that minors are forbidden to drink, and that such-and-such penalties are issued... and I've not ever heard of anyone be penalised 'legally' as such.
I really think that we may just as well not bother with having the law in the first place - as in some cases, legalising such actions reduces the incidence of such action to take place. If anything, a compromise should be achieved which limits the sale of an amount of alcohol sold to a minor...
If I recall correctly - there' s no law against minors consuming alcohol, only against them being sold it, being on licensed premises after midnight or without parents. So when cops nick your booze they're relying on the "following the directions of an officer of the law" - law. Or possibly some truancy common law or some such. I could be wrong, I haven't looked up the legislation.
I remember as a lad going to the front bar of the local pub with my dad and being given beer mixed with red cordial. i must have been 12yo.

Just wondering, what happened to the YMCA building on Flinders (?) Street? I remember using it for Squash back in Year 8 (2002) and was wondering what's there now.

Made a 160km long round trip on a redhen from Mt Barker to Victor Harbor and return on Sunday. Very good day indeed.

From what my sources have informed me, there is a good chance that the next 'Southern Encounter' service from Mt Barker to Victor Harbor will be steam hauled but that won't run until next month. None the less, the trip is well worth the $64:00 return ticket whether it be steam hauled or in a redhen.

Unfortunately yes. I was one of those year 10s who supposedly taught you how to play.

Yes I finished in 2004.
Good to hear our efforts were not in vain. Who was the handball captain in 2005 and 06?

I won the official count, but because of my crapness it was put onto Shaun B. and Lawrence J. to be co-captains. Oddly, it worked
