I think the truth is that some of you just need a good root!
Everything that goes up in this city gets bagged out, seriously people, just learn to get amped!!!

One day you'll be dead!
But true enough

Talking of roots maybe Stormy Summers will make a return to the CBD and take up major tenancy of 20-22 Currie St. We could loose the the slightly geeky 'Permanent Wave' moniker and call it 'Stormys Erection'. Somebody call her. :wank:

Well actually water is not blue, it is clear. Blue is rather cold. Feeling blue? Lot 8 is different, which is good, we don't want everything to be green (which is by far the most popular tint), but I personally would go for clear which is good for natural light. I would rather see more colour in the wall cladding (on the facades) than in glass.

Cheers

It still looks like blue, such as the ocean.

Blue is good on the eye.

Construction has halted on this one due to a crane accident. Been issues about safety here for a while, workers not happy.

This site has always appeared unsafe with virtually no hoardings. The crane dropped its load right between the new Playford building and the historic Murray Chambers. If it fell on the Chambers it is likely someone could have been seriously injured or killed as it would have gone straight through the old roof.

From the abc website:
Crane Incident Could Have Killed: Union
August 12 2008

The Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) says someone could have been killed in an accident at an office and residential construction site near Gouger Street in the city this morning.

The union says a cage fell 70 metres to the ground after the cable connecting it to a crane snapped.

CFMEU assistant secretary Aaron Cartledge says a gutter on a neighbouring building was damaged when the two-metre cage dropped, but the incident could have been worse.

"There was someone about to, as they roped the cage from the 12th floor they then use a harness system and they go in and remove the joinery that was in the cage, now that worker there was just about to, 30 seconds later and he would have been in that cage," he said.

SafeWork SA says inspectors have seized the crane and have secured the construction site while investigations continue.

The building group leading the construction work at the site says it is waiting for the investigation to be completed before commenting.
Check the following site for the image of the dropped load:

Only for a day or two until the site is deemed safe by officials.

The building is almost externally complete.

You're just worried about the building stopping construction?

From what I can see from my office, it looks as though the crane is on it's way down.

I am in Mile End though!

Haha either that or the south road exhaust fumes are getting to you. Still there this morning :)
