Yes the building is still ugly overall but a new paint job has improved it a fair bit.
And just look at that roof! What a view from the apartments!Special!I would'nt like to be facing it.

Some nice Blue glass is being erected today. Not sure how it looks with the Brown rectangle feature but will have to wait until more has been completed but the glass is very nice. I'll take a pic a bit later.

Sounds interesting Ben.
It appeared green on the renders which I thought would be a better match for the brown/copper feature. Have to wait and see I suppose like you say.
Is it highly reflective and not too transparent?

Great stuff. After not seeing them (and 400!) in the flesh for ages I drove past again last week and wow, from the ground they're impressive. What a massive improvement to the area in one short spurt and hopefully in the next cycle they'll kickstart a real flood of KWS construction. We were real lucky to get these started just in time before the **** really hit the fan.
Also, if the same family owned the Berlin Wall site you'd think it must have been an outstanding offer to have them sell it considering it's delicate position right next to their investments. Surely nobody would pay top dollar only to keep the current low-rent crap on the site forever so hopefully there's a plan being hatched for it right now.

Windows have gone in on the 3rd story (you can just make it out on the photo), looked pretty dark but couldnt really get a good view when I went by the other day.

Berlin Wall is also having quite the makeover with decking and complete referb inside, looks like there will be plenty of room for outside seating for a cafe/restaurant. Amazingly it looks like it will look pretty good once finished, definately not up for demolishion any time soon.

Excellent news - as it was it would cause a detrimental effect on views and possibly even office/residential values re outlook. As it is poproposed to be it will complement the high rise well, catering for a large population source from all three bldgs under construction.

They are using steel for the southern half of what appears to be the second to top level. Looks like the top won't end up like the render. I'm not sure this one will look great but i'll reserve judgement until complete, just not sure about brown cladding and blue glass at this stage.

The view from the west of that area must be quite impressive - with 379 KWS in the future even better.
