Interesting comments about the old Advertiser building.

Whilst I won't quite miss it, I wish the developers could find a way to incorporate some marble elements in the new design to pay homage to the site's history.

Yeah, I don't mind the old Advertiser building at all.

The marble and blue glass is a pretty handy combination.

At the very least, there are MUCH worse buildings around that aren't going anywhere fast.

The majority of which have a Polites sign sticking out of them.

Awesome pics Pants. Would u happen to have any pics of the old Advertiser building, out of curiosity?

Anyway, something Adelaide is lacking is glass. I quite like the blue colour of the building. It will add some much needed colour to the fairly dull looking CBD. Im happy too see all these great, shiny, see-through proposals going up around the place. We've finally ridden ourselves of the sandstone/concrete era.

And btw greenchili, what's wrong with the Rialto Towers?

the rialtos great, but CC1's & advertisers blue coloured glass is a better colour than rialtos.

Yes, this is a really good idea. It would be great to see the developers incorporate some marble elements, probabaly vertical columns into the facade of City Central Tower 2.

The new Advertiser building has set a new benchmark for architecture in Adelaide. Definately world class.
