Are works on the Tonsley Line extension to Flinders going to start once all the roadworks are complete?
I believe they're meant to start some time next year. As far as I'm aware, the works will be completed in conjunction with the South Rd upgrade despite them being two separate projects..

At least one of the ITS gantries with lane and speed management has been installed at the Brickworks Markets.

No pics.

I drove through Saturday night. North bound South Rd was travelling along the new road on the western side between Flinders Dr and Mimosa. South bound was travelling along the former north bound lanes of the old alignment. Serious amounts of work were underway on the new south bound alignment between Sturt Rd and Flinders Dr.

I didn't drive through today so I can't give any updates of how works were going. I'd imagine that south bound would now be on the new alignment

That extra lane for northbound is really weird man...I cant see the reason for it... are you supposed to follow it to get to the TAFE perhaps?

when exiting the current SE part to turn left to goto the hospital the turn also allows you to head north on the main highway, i presume to get into the lane to goto the tafe...it just looks weird.

Not from that one. A different lane which splits earlier you can

I've made a slightly dodgy Google SketchUp model for this part of the Darlington project if anyone is interested.
