Oh, the Advertiser and the Liberals will do that anyway.
It could be working perfectly, and they'll criticise for wasting taxpayers' money on a sausage sizzle at the opening. Or for being too cheap if there's no sausage sizzle.
If the government did anything worrying about what the Advertiser or Opposition said, they'd never do anything.
I don't mean to favour Labor in this. If they were the opposition, they too would criticise things such as one-way freeways, or electricity privatisation. That's what oppositions do.
The secret will be this: if they criticise the government on this or anything else, do they have a policy that is better? Or are they just going to sit and whine? Again, I am talking generally as this applies to parties of all political colours in opposition. Whoever they are, are their policies better?
