Track works at the Pulteney Street intersection will be happening this weekend, with the intersection at Gawler Place to be done the weekend after.

This should be the last piece of the track works puzzle.

The concrete has been poured across the Pulteney St intersection. The pour shown reaches just past the Pulteney footpath. They should get the rest poured late tonight by the looks.
Have they run any test trams to the Entertainment Centre yet?

Not yet as King William Street is closed until 600pm. Tests will take place later this evening between Victoria Square and the Railway Station.

While the tram line has been closed, they've been busy replanting the median strips between the tracks along Port Rd. Hopefully the new plantings have survived the heatwave.

Not sure if I was seeing things, but I think they were starting to install the platforms at the old RAH site.

Yes. You can rest assured you were not seeing a mirage in the heat. Platforms are under construction.

Unfortunately all has not run smoothly during the return of the tram services between the City and the Entertainment Centre.
It has been reported that Traffic Lights along North Terrace and the North Terrace/King William Street intersection have not been operating correctly with trams having to wait considerable time at each set resulting in significant delays to services with many services running up to 30 minutes late.
At one stage there were waiting trams at every traffic light.
Also police took control of the intersection to help clear backlogs and also enabling techs to try and fix lights.

I went past about 8:50 and the lights seemed to be fine, but a Citadis did look like it was going around the corner
very slowly. Hopefully the speed is a case of initial caution.

The tram stops have been given a paint job, with the destinations being removed along the roof beam and replaced with just the location, e.g. Pirie Street.

I went round the curves in Flexities this morning. The drivers took it slow, and both ways the trams shuddered somewhat. That may disappear after the curves wear in, and certainly wasn't a big deal.

The Trams are a bit chaotic at the moment, there are heaps of people waiting to go south at the moment.
Right now I'm sitting at the Entertainment Centre on a tram waiting for it to leave. Both platforms are used, and a third has been waiting to enter the tram stop on the EC-bound track. They are definitely bunched up.
The reason for this is mainly to do with the new intersection. I can see the drivers reading training documentation before attempting to turn. Seems like there was very little time for training before the line reopened.
Despite this, it's good to see safety come first. Better to slow down and get it right rather than breaking the crossing on the first day of use.

Thank goodness. Does this include adjacent to the Ent Cent terminal do you know? And yes...lets hope it's better maintained and survives this summer.
