That's... actually not a bad idea!
The new indoor stadium one, not the retractable roof one.

I'm Imagining a 7-10,000 seat arena in the mould of a US College NCAA D1 basketball arena. Base the 36ers there and any bigger Netty games. CBD based would surely be a boon. Then all we'd need is a soccer stadium to replace Hindmarsh Stadium on or Near Uni No1 and we'd have one hell of a sporting precinct on the banks of the Torrens all within easy walking distance of Adelaide Station:)

Exactly! A revamped Memorial Drive should be boutique, not trying to replicate Ent Centre. If consolidation makes sense for cricket and football, it makes a whole heap more sense for the fledgling sports of basketball, netball and tennis.
Sixers games in city centre on Thurs or Fri night after work? Hell yeah!

Anyway... did anyone hear the interview with David Plumridge on 5AA about the footbridge?
It's on the website but I can't seem to access.
Curious as to whether there were any clues to its design, beyond what we already know.

Not really. The council will be presented with the government's final design later tonight - pretty much no new information.

Have a look at the 6th of July near map image, you can see the fourth crane base in, I'd say it's not too far off either

I'm finding it hard to judge from those photos, but it looks like the hill has lost a lot of space?

I think it has too. The terraces look like there will be more rows than before. However at the back of the hill there was always a pointless flat area, west of the scoreboard. With the new facilities being built at the back, maybe the hill will be extended as far back as almost touching the moreton bay trees.
Hurry up please
