Many thanks EBG - this one has been a bit weird in the way it's been covered in scaffolding all the way through to this late point but I like the cladding from what I can see in the photo.

Picture of the lower floors taken 29 Sept 2015 . The upper floors are still shrouded in green.

From yesterday. This one seems to have moved along pretty slowly to me, at least compared to Vue, but hopefully it's not too much longer until it starts looking like the finished product.
Even so, this not-very-tall building has taken over a year to get this far, and it's still covered in that not so photogenic green scaffolding, but at least it's faster than Palladium

From what I can see there is a lot going on behind the scaffolding - internal fitout etc.
They also weren't using a slipform so I guess the core came up a fair bit slower as well?

A large mobile crane just backed into the front delivery area. Looks like the fixed crane is scheduled to come down this weekend.

Yes the crane came down on Saturday as mgh predicted.

Still another 6 months of work left here before completion - I spoke to one of the workers
today.
today.

That's rather disappointing. I've kinda given up on this one, seeing as how long it has taken to get that last bit seemingly done. The amount of work done to the Vue on KW or 50 Flinders in the same chosen timeframe is immense in comparison.
Does anyone know why it feels so sluggish? Would it possibly feel like this because its been in the pipeline for 5 years now?

You and I both, I feel as though there hasn't been any progress on this in the last 9-12 months.Phantom wrote:That's rather disappointing. Photo from guess where?
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

12 months is not quite right. Here's a photo I took almost exactly a year ago - on the 7th of November last year. But you guys are right, it certainly seems like very little has happened with this over about the past six months, and it does feel like a year when you see the lighting progress of Vue in a similar time frame. I wonder what's taking so long?
I just wish that green scaffolding would come off and the cladding of the finished product would become visible. It's quite a prominent building from Chinatown and the eastern squares, and that area will likely become our next little cluster if U2, West Franklin, Palladium and that other one on the corner take off.
But at the end of the day, it's still a hell of a lot faster than Palladium which I believe was supposed to start in late 2013 (before Vue was even proposed), but hasn't even really started yet.

Fine, Wayno. For the sake of history, I'll raise you one I took from my office on the 27th floor last November when this one was a little baby (jokes, I don't actually work there). Aria was still U/C back then.
